Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' confirmed for March 30 release (on Sunday)

The much-awaited Bollywood movie, Sikandar, featuring superstar Salman Khan, will be released on Sunday, March 30, 2025, Bollywood Hungama reports.

The film is perfectly timed to release during the Eid holiday period, a festival that is synonymous with Khan's releases, and will also be released on Gudi Padwa, an important holiday in Maharashtra.

"The makers are confident that it's the correct day for release," an insider told the portal.

The strategic release of Sikandar ensures it reaps great box office success.

The insider added, "There'll be a post-Eid holiday effect on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 in many centers as well. The collections will again see a jump from Friday, April 4."

"Hence, until Sunday, April 6, the film's collections will remain very strong."

There were rumors of the film premiering on March 28 (Friday), too. But now it seems the makers are eyeing a Sunday release.

Release strategy

Sikandar continues Khan's trend of off-beat Sunday releases. His last film, Tiger 3, was also released on Sunday, November 12, 2023, on Diwali. This way the film gets post-festival holiday effects for the whole week.

Sikandar's release date is likely to be officially announced by Wednesday and the much-awaited trailer will drop over the weekend.

Earlier on Tuesday, the title track Sikandar Naache was dropped.

The trailer of Sikandar is undergoing a last-moment patchwork and its arrival will mark the start of advance booking too.

Reports also indicate that a grand event is being planned to create buzz around the film.

Apart from Khan, Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss.
