New Delhi: Kusum Ansal wife of Ansal Group promoter Sushil Ansal has reportedly sold her bungalow at Feroze Shah Road in Lutyens Delhi for a whopping Rs 241 crore. It is important to the sales comes at a time when Ansal Group is facing multiple legal challenges relating to its business. The agreement finalized at Rs 200000 per square foot stands among the most expensive real estate deals in the country exceeding even some of Mumbais high-profile transactions. According to the Economic Times report the firm declined to comment on commercials of the transaction but confirmed that Sothebys had the exclusive mandate of this asset. The property was listed on the website of India Sothebys International Realty. Gujarat-based Yatah Enterprises bought the property and paid Rs 17.56 crore as stamp duty and corporation tax according to the sale deed of the transaction. Ansal API was in stress for quite sometime and some of the proceeds from the bungalow sale was used to settle dues of a lender said a person familiar with the deal told The Economic Times. Pranav Ansal son of Sushil and Kusum Ansal stated that the transaction was carried out by a lender under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act. According to the agreement Sushil Ansal along with three companies owned the 6364-square-yard plot—one of the largest in Lutyens Delhi.
