The accused was convicted for crime and sentenced to death, while his mother and sister were found guilty of hiding the crime. This is the first time that a convict in the state has been sentenced to triple death.

The girl had disappeared from uncle's flat

According to the aggrieved side, the girl went missing after her uncle left in Shahjahanabad area on 24 September 2024. Before leaving the house, she told her grandmother that she would return in 15 minutes. He told that when the girl did not return home, her grandmother started searching, but when she was not found, the family informed the police. The police also started searching for the girl.

The smell was coming from the convict's house

During the search operation, the police got bad smell from the accused Nihale's flat. When the police opened the door, the accused's mother Basanti Bai and sister Chanchal told the police that the smell is coming due to dead mice and they have just cleaned the floor with phenyl. He said that when the police continued the search, both the women started making noise and tried to stop the police from investigating.

Dead body was kept in water tank

However, the woman police took them aside and continued the search and saw that the smell was coming from a white plastic water tank, from which the police team found the body of the girl. Manoj Tripathi said that after investigation, doctors confirmed the rape with the girl. Doctors said that the private part of the girl was badly injured.

Mother and sister also got punishment

He said that after interrogation of Atul Nihale and his mother and sister, the police also recovered the victim's clothes and a knife used in crime. The PRO of the victim side said that Nihale has confessed his crime and told the police that his mother and sister had helped in hiding the crime. Therefore, now the court has sentenced the mother and sister to 2 years imprisonment.
