A big case of Hollywood fraud is coming up. A writer and director is alleged to have taken an amount of $ 11 million (about 95 crore) for a show from Netflix. But that show did not make it. With crores of rupees from Netflix, the filmmaker later invested in crypto currency and bought luxury vehicles for himself. Now he has been arrested by the police in the case of fraud.

Director Carl Eric Rinsh is being talked about here. Which has made headlines for the 47 Ronin film which was released in the year 2013. He has now been accused of money laundering. It is being told that the Hollywood director had planned to cheat popular OTT platforms like Netflix.

Director arrested on fraud charges

Prosecutors said that Netflix initially gave more than $ 44 million i.e. more than Rs 380 crore to buy a show named White Horse from Carl Eric Rinsha. Then later Eric told Netflix that he needs Rs 95 crore to complete the show, after which Netflix again paid him Rs 95 crore. But the show did not work and he stopped production after a year. He spent this amount in living Ash's life. In this case, Karl was arrested by the police in West Hollywood, California on Tuesday. After this he was produced in court.

He spent the money that Karl had to invest on his show on himself. According to reports, Carl bought Rolls Royce and a absconding car for himself. At the same time, for furniture etc., $ 3.8 million (Rs 32,8,23,500) expenses. Karl spent $ 6,52,000 on watches and clothes. Whereas in the crypto currency also invested with these money. Netflix has refused to make any statement in this case, while the director's lawyer Annie Carney also did not comment outside the court.
