Meet Kapoor family’s only member who is a graduate, failed as an actor, is now working as.., not Ranbir, Kareena, Karisma

The Kapoor family is often referred to as Indian cinemas first film family with generations of actors contributing to Bollywood’s legacy. From Prithviraj Kapoor to Raj Kapoor Shashi Kapoor Karisma Kapoor Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor the family has given the industry numerous superstars and delivered timeless classics like Bobby Satyam Shivam Sundaram Shree 420 Awara and Sangam. While the Kapoors have dominated Bollywood with their talent one area where they have often lagged is education. However one member of the family stands out as the first to achieve a higher education degree.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Education: During a promotional event Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he was the first Kapoor boy to pass Class 10 scoring 53%. After completing his schooling he told his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor that he wasn’t interested in academics. He then moved to New York to study filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts and later took a method acting course.
Kareena Kapoor Khan: Kareena initially pursued commerce for two years at Mithibai College Mumbai before developing an interest in law. She joined Government Law College but dropped out after a year to pursue acting.
Karisma Kapoor: Karisma Kapoor left school in Class 6 to support her mother Babita Kapoor. Despite not completing her education she became a Bollywood superstar with several hit films.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni: Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni stayed away from acting and focused on academics. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Marketing from the American Intercontinental University in London making her the most educated member of the Kapoor family. After marrying Bharat Sahni she became part of the Sahni family.
Aditya Raj Kapoor: The son of Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali and the grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor. He is a cousin to Rishi Kapoor Karan Kapoor Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor and an uncle to Ranbir Karisma Kareena and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. He studied at The Lawrence School Sanawar from 1963 to 1969 but later dropped out to pursue a career in Bollywood. He began his journey as an assistant director under his uncle Raj Kapoor in Bobby (1973) and later worked on films like Dharam Karam (1975) Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978) Geraftaar (1985) and Ajooba (1990).
