One major question left unanswered as Prince Harry's US visa files finally released

The release of 's US visa documents have led to one unanswered question. The US government had until the end of the day on March 18 to publish the previously unseen papers relating to the former working royal's immigration status.

Following the documents being shared, several pages of in a surprising twist.

Despite this, the one question that has been left unanswered is whether the Duke of Sussex - who previously admitted to some experiences of drug use in his bombshell memoir Spare - ticked the 'no' box about drug use in his application.

As reported by , the files did conclude Harry, 40, was not given special treatment. A majority of a secret hearing, which took place in April last year, however, was blacked out.

Prior to the release, Judge Carl Nichols has ruled that the redacted documents are set to be made public - but, at the time, did not specify a time frame.

The redacted court documents read: "Plaintiffs allege that the records should be disclosed as public confidence in the government would suffer or to establish whether the Duke was granted preferential treatment.

"This speculation by Plaintiffs does not point to any evidence of government misconduct.

"The records, as explained above, do not support such an allegation but show the regulatory process involved in reviewing and granting immigration benefits which was done in compliance with the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1103 and applicable rules and regulation."

In his memoir, the father of two admitted cocaine "didn't do anything for me", but added that "Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me".

The revelation triggered an investigation into how he was allowed to enter the US in 2020, shortly after stepping down from royal life and moving out of the UK with Meghan Markle.
