has been praised by a historian for turning the clicks of haters "into profit" with her new Netflix series. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, launched her earlier this month, opening the gates to a wave of mixed reviews.
While the mum-of-two received plenty of support from her loyal fans, she also received damning criticism from some members of the public and royal experts, particularly in Britain. Despite being at the receiving end of some harsh comments, Meghan's show has , with one royal commentator believing this will be a "bitter pill" for her haters. As royal commentator and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop said: "How the world has loved to hate on Meghan for her serialised version of perfection - With Love Meghan."
She continued: "There is something deliciously ironic about the fact that Meghan has devised a creative strategy that weaponises all those haters and turns their clicks into profits. Well done her."
The royal expert also : "Despite (or perhaps because of) the dismal reviews and universal loathing, With Love Meghan sits proudly in Netflix's global top 10.
"As for viewers back in Britain, Meghan's media triumph will be a bitter pill for some to swallow."
Since the release of the show on March 4, Meghan has not responded to any criticism online and has instead only shared positive fan reaction to the show, which saw her cook and host for a number of celebrity friends.
The duchess has also received plenty of support from her friends, including US actress Abigail Spencer, who featured in one episode of the programme.
Speaking about Meghan's show, Abigail recently "Meghan is the hostess with the most. Literally, for years, she has been like this.
"This is her heart, that show is her heart, it was so natural and [I was] really just there to have fun and to delight in her and to be a safe space."
Netflix has not yet confirmed when the second series of the show will air.
