The uncle of Sara Sharif has been moved to a jail with pool and table tennis after his brother was attacked, reports say. Faisal Malik was found guilty of causing or allowing her death and jailed for 16 years in December.
The 10-year-old's father Urfan Sharif, Malik's brother, and her stepmother Beinash Batool, were found guilty of her murder and were sentenced to life imprisonment. Malik, 29, has been moved to HMP Lincoln, describing the prison as cushy. The paper says Malik had been locked up at Belmarsh, south London, when his older brother was .
Around 650 prisoners live in Lincoln Prison across four main residential wings and all wings have access to showers, telephones, toasters and recreational activities, such as pool and table tennis.
According to its website, it offers a wide range of education, including English and maths, and also vocational courses in painting and decorating and bricklaying.
The prison also has tailoring workshops, a laundry and a recycling centre where prisoners can earn recognised qualifications.
Its website states: "Lincoln Prison is committed to providing a safe and educational environment where men can learn new skills to help them on release, including workshops, education and vocational courses."
Sharif, Batool and Malik were all convicted following a 10-week trial.
In a televised sentencing at the Old Bailey, Mr Justice Cavanagh said Sara's death "was the culmination of years of neglect, frequent assaults and what can only be described as torture", mainly at the hands of Sharif.
Last week, Sharif, Batool and Malik all lost their Court of Appeal bids to reduce their sentences.
Sara was found dead in a bunkbed at the family home in Woking, Surrey, in August 2023.
She had suffered 71 recent injuries at the time of her death, including 25 broken bones, iron burns on her bottom, scalding marks to her feet, and human bites, appeal judges were told.
A proposed law change named in memory of Sara has been tabled in Parliament in a bid to better protect vulnerable children.
