After divorce, what property does a woman have rights over? You may not know.

Many cases of divorce have been seen in the country for some time now. So let us tell you that after divorce, a woman has the right only on that property. Which the husband and wife have earned together during the marriage. Which is called "marital property". A woman has no right on her husband's ancestral property.

Apart from this, if the husband has bought any property himself, then the woman has no right on it. But if the property was bought in the name of both husband and wife, then even after divorce the woman will have a share in it.

If any property is bought in the name of the wife, then after divorce the woman will have full rights on that property. If the property is bought by the husband, but the wife has also contributed to it, then she can prove it and ask for a share in the property.

If the woman has earned any property during the marriage, or her parents have given it to her, then the woman has full rights on it too. Apart from this, she will also have personal rights on the jewellery, gifts, cash received in the marriage.

Apart from this, after divorce, the woman gets alimony from the husband, which is decided by the court. For which many factors have been determined. Alimony is decided on their basis.
