Declan Rice has provided a clear response to Chelsea's Wesley Fofana and the string of fouls that saw him fortunate to not be sent off in the Premier League game against Arsenal.

Mikel Merino scored the only goal of Sunday's clash at Emirates Stadium, but there were plenty of other talking points from the London derby.

Referee Chris Kavanagh brandished six yellow cards on the day with Fofana receiving one of those, though it could have quite easily been red.

A second yellow could have easily come after a late foul on Myles Lewis-Skelly but Fofana avoided that and was later replaced with five minutes to play.

As he was at the centre of several controversial incidents, @on Instagram uploaded a video titled 'Wesley Fofana "How was he not sent off?" compilation'.

As one of the players fouled by Fofana, Rice made his thoughts clear by liking the social media post.

His altercation with Fofana arrived in the first half when the Chelsea defender attempted to kick the ball once Rice had fallen on top of it after he had been fouled.

"Fofana was really, really lucky throughout the game. It wasn't just this, he committed a number of offences," he said on

"Ironically, he got yellow carded later in the game for delaying the restart. I don't think this [foul on Declan Rice] was a red card, but it was a yellow card.

"And if he gets a yellow card, it may stop him committing the number of fouls and offences afterwards."

"The second one [a clear foul on Trossard] is a yellow card for Fofana in its own right [but he wasn't booked]. If he's not going to give a yellow card for the Rice one, then you pull him out and tell him; 'That's your last one'.

"When he commits the next one, you say; 'What do you expect'?"
