YouTube has become a medium of progress for many people in today's era. Many use it for learning, teaching, and entertainment. However, a case has emerged where a young man created a serious problem for himself after watching YouTube videos.
In Vrindavan, Mathura, a young man suffering from abdominal pain performed surgery on himself after watching YouTube tutorials. His condition deteriorated afterward, requiring hospitalisation. According to reports, he procured anesthetic injections, surgical blades, and other medical supplies from a medical store for the operation. After performing the surgery, he even applied 11 stitches to his abdomen. When his condition worsened, he began screaming in pain. Family members admitted him to the district hospital for treatment.
According to reports, Raja Babu (32), son of Kanhaiya Thakur, had been troubled by stomach pain for many days. He had consulted doctors multiple times but found no relief. He had undergone an appendix operation 18 years ago, after which he experienced recurring abdominal pain. Frustrated with the constant pain, he decided to perform surgery on himself.
Raja Babu numbed himself with injections, similar to how doctors do it. He then cut open his stomach with a surgical blade. Initially, he didn't feel pain, but as soon as the effect of the medication wore off, he began writhing in agony. During the procedure, he had applied 11 stitches to his abdomen. Still, he found no relief from the pain and began screaming. Hearing his screams, family members rushed to him and immediately took him to the district hospital. Doctors admitted him in serious condition, and his treatment is ongoing.
Doctors say that taking such steps without proper knowledge could have been fatal. Raja Babu's condition is currently stable, and his treatment continues.
