The Kalkal stream of the Ganges, the golden aura of the sunset, the flicker lights of thousands of lamps and the Vedas and the divine echo of the diverse scriptures once again became a witness to the unique splendor of Indian culture. Under the 62nd All India Scriptures organized by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, a grand event was held in the hosting of Patanjali University, which had the distinction of establishing the Indian knowledge tradition on a global stage.
It was not just an ordinary spiritual event, but a historical moment when thousands of scholars and devotees who arrived from every corner of the country collectively shrines the scriptures and established a world record by participating in the Ganga Aarti together. As if this moment was getting a direct darshan of the practice of the ancient sages and sages of India.
Evening time, Raktim Chhata in the sky, the soft image of the Sun on the calm waves of the Ganges and thousands of devotees gathered on the ghats were indicating a divine festival in itself. As soon as the first bell of Aarti rang, a rhythmic pulsation came in the flow of the Ganges. When the throat of Vedas and scriptures started on Har Ki Pauri, it seemed as if the entire universe was swinging on the rhythm of these divine sounds.
Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda's verses, the verses of the Upanishads, the messages of the Bhagavad Gita and the esoteric words of the Yogasutras - all together were presenting a divine lords of divine lords, in which the Triveni confluence of spirituality, philosophy and devotion was clearly visible. After the scripture Shravan, as soon as the Ganga Aarti was launched, the entire atmosphere was enchanted. The huge lamps in the hands of scholars, saints and masters, the echoing around the hour-ghadiyal, the announcement of every gange and the innumerable shadows of lamps in the flowing Ganges water- this scene was not only with the eyes, but to experience the heart. It seemed as if Ganga Mata herself was accepting the reverence of her devotees.
This divine event of Haridwar gave rise to a new wave of renaissance of Indian culture, not just a spiritual festival of one day. Whenever the Ganges flows, whenever the verses of the Vedas echo, then this golden chapter of this All India Shastriotsav will be remembered.
