Popular TV host and singer Kelly Clarkson reached a major milestone as her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, celebrated its 1,000th episode.
On Thursday (March 20), the 42-year-old read out a heartfelt speech in which she talked about the journey of the show, which started in September 2019, People magazine reported.
“I cannot believe today marks the 1,000th. It’s crazy,” People magazine quoted Clarkson as saying.
She stated that throughout the five-and-a-half-year-long journey on the show, she has met some of the "hugely talented people, tons of big stars and inspiring everyday heroes.”
The American Idol winner went on to reflect on how she, along with team, has created a community and they have been supporting each other "through a lot of ups and downs.”
Soon after, she joked, "A lot of ups and downs personally as well,” while apparently referring to her personal life.

She recalled how she even had to host the show with an eye patch along with a leg in a cast.
Clarkson said that she and her viewers have "laughed together, we have cried together with beautiful stories", during the 1,000 episodes of the show.
On the special occasion, Clarkson performed on Whitney Houston's song I Have Nothing, while guests on the show included Tyler Perry and Alicia Vikander.
The guests brought a special Swedish candy, named licorice.
Apart from her professional journey, Clarkson has witnessed several changes in her personal life, too, ever since the show began. The singer parted ways with her former husband Brandon Blackstock in June 2020 after being together for almost seven years.
Also, she was on a weight loss journey. Admitting it on the show, she highlighted that she has "lost, alone, a lot".
