The Land Records Department of the Revenue Administration has started a new era in the administrative sector by adopting digital and online services, which will bring about a radical change in the lives of the people of the state, said Mahesh Ingle, Deputy Director of the Nashik Department of Land Records, while speaking at a press conference on Thursday.
Digital and online services have been started in the Land Records Office, and Mahesh Ingle gave information about this.
Deputy Director Mahesh Ingle said that with the advent of digital services, the Land Records Department has made land-related documents available through an online portal. Due to this, common citizens, especially farmers in rural areas, will not need to go to the land records or tehsil offices. Documents required for selling land or obtaining bank loans will be able to be downloaded from home.
The biggest advantage of this is that digital records have brought transparency in administrative processes. This will reduce the need for intermediaries, said Mahesh Ingle. The land measurement process has become faster and more accurate due to systems like e-measurement. Maps are being prepared using drone technology and GIS, so errors in measurement have been reduced, and citizens are checking the status of their applications thanks to the online application and tracking facility, he said. With the creation of a consolidated database of digital records, it will be easier for the government to analyze land use, detect encroachments, and formulate agricultural and industrial policies.
Mahesh Ingle informed that the work of digitization of 13 types of original survey maps in Nashik division is going on in Ahilyanagar, Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar districts, and the work of Nashik district has been completed.
While giving information about e-enumeration, 30,670 applications were received in Nashik division for enumeration, out of which 1,829 applications were counted and settled, while 12,371 applications were pending.
