Amitabh Bachchan is hailed as one of the biggest actors in Hindi cinema. During a career spanning over six decades Big B has given several hit films. The actor not only made headlines because of his work but also grabbed public attention due to his personal life. While today Amitabh is married to Jaya Bachchan Big Bs link-up with Rekha and Zeenat Aman was also in the news. Many people may think that Jaya Bachchan was the first love of Amitabh and that later the actor developed a close bond with Rekha during the filming of Do Anjaane in 1976. However let us tell you that Amitabhs love life started even before that. Recently senior journalist and film industry expert Hanif Zaveri in a podcast called Meri Saheli opened up about Big B his career his alleged romance and more. In the conversation Hanif said that even before Amitabh had started working as an actor and was in Kolkata working for a company he met a girl named Maya. Zaveri further revealed that Maya was not an actor but was working with British Airways. Bachchan and the girl developed a close bond and fell in love. However their relationship soon faced highs and lows when Amitabh moved to Mumbai (then Bombay) to fulfill his aspirations of becoming an actor. Zaveri said that during his early days in cinema Bachchan was living in a bungalow owned by a close friend of his mother Teji Bachchan. Big B was afraid that his mother might get to know about his relationship. Hence he decided to leave the accommodation and move to a new place. During that time Amitabh was working in Mehmood Alis brother Anwar Alis film Saat Hindustani. After sharing his problem with Anwar he was given a place to live. While for some time the relationship between Maya and Bachchan was going smoothly things started to turn upside down. While Bachchan was a shy man Maya was bold enough for him. Then it was Anwar Ali who advised Big B to part ways with Maya. After this point Amitabh slowly distanced himself from Maya and eventually the two broke up.
