A 50-year-old geography professor was detained by police in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on charges of sexually assaulting his pupils. The professor reportedly recorded the abuse and used the 59 films to coerce the students into being quiet and performing more sexual favors.

Following the claims earlier this week, which included horrifying recordings of students being sexually abused that were supplied to the police on a USB flash drive, or pen drive, Rajnish Kumar, the Chief Proctor of the Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College in Hathras, has been on the run. According to police sources, they had no idea how many women he had mistreated.

Many more women may have been raped, he added, adding that he only started filming his assaults a few years ago when a webcam accidentally captured a student being groped.

According to sources, he allegedly took bribes from parents and students in order to help them get better grades on exams and get employment, and he also used them to coerce sexual favors.
