Today we will talk about another actor who met a tragic end and no one came to his funeral. He had worked in 250 films and his roles often made people burst into laughter. However no one would have thought that the actor would meet such a heartbreaking fate. Let us tell you we are talking about the veteran late actor of Mollywood Sasi Kalinga. Sasi left a deep mark with his performances in South cinema. He had acted in more than 500 plays and 250 films. While his versatility shone people loved him in comic roles. Though there are many big actors in Malayalam cinema no one could ever take Sasis place. In 2020 the entire globe was fighting the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. In India lakhs of people lost their lives to the virus. While some succumbed due to a shortage of medical facilities others lost their lives to the severity of the infection. Among them was Sasi. Sasi also tested positive for Covid-19. The infection became extremely severe leading to his demise. During the Covid-19 era only a few people were allowed to attend funerals. Hence not many people could show up at Sasis funeral. After he passed away his body was kept at his home in Kozhikode for the last rites. But due to the lockdown only a few people could reach there to pay tribute to him. When his fellow actor Vinod Kavoor came to pay his last respects he plucked three roses from the courtyard of the house tied them with a thread and offered them to Sasi as a final farewell.
