could be Britain's tallest king in the future for two reasons. Although only 11-years-old, fans have noticed how tall the prince already is, with many fans commenting on this after he appears at royal events.

While his exact height is not currently known, it is believed George is likely to take after his father Prince William in the height department, who is 6ft 3 inches tall. The young royal will also benefit from his mother Princess Kate's height, with the princess being 5ft 9 inches tall - five inches taller than the average British woman. However, it is yet to be known whether George will make history as the tallest king on record.

, the tallest king on record is currently Edward IV, who measured in at 6ft 4 1⁄2 - taller than Prince William and King Charles.

However, Prince George could be in with a chance of exceeding that height as shown by research completed by the Keck School of Medicine in California, which suggests that it is common for a son to grow taller than his mother and his father.

This theory is calculated by taking the height of the child's mother and adding five inches to that, before then adding that number to the father's height. This figure should then be divided by two.

In Prince George's case, this theory could see the second-in-line to the throne reach 6ft 2 inches tall, with the potential for him to also grow a bit taller than this and be in with a chance of breaking the record currently held by Edward IV.

When George was seen at the Sandringham Christmas walkabout last year, many were quick to comment on his height.

One fan wrote on X: "Prince George, he's almost reaching William's shoulder...aged 11! Will be our tallest King ever!"

Another said: "Wow, Prince George is nearly as tall as his father's shoulders."

A third wrote: "Look how tall Prince George is getting."
