As per various reports Mukesh Ambani has multiple sources of income such as investments across varied sectors revenue from his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians as well as dividends from the companys profit distributed among its shareholders. Several reports suggest that share dividends are the primary source of Mukesh Ambanis wealth and since he holds a significant number of shares compared to other shareholders or investors the resulting dividend income is also substantially larger.
According to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) data the Ambani family which is the promoter group of Reliance Industries collectively owns a 50.39% controlling stake in the company. At present Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has approximately 644.51 crore (6.44 billion) shares with the promoter group (Ambani family) owning half of them whereas the remaining 49.61% are held by public shareholders including FIIs and corporate bodies.
