✔ From April 1, 2025, vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will be denied fuel at petrol pumps in Delhi.
✔ A centralized system will check a vehicle’s registration number to verify its PUC status before allowing refueling.
✔ Around 500 petrol pumps in Delhi have been integrated with this system.
✔ Vehicles with expired PUC certificates will be flagged as "Defaulters" and will be refused fuel.
This rule is initially enforced at select petrol pumps, including:
🔹 Veejay Service Station, Kalidas Marg
🔹 Angra HP Centre, Vinay Marg, Near Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri
🔹 Anup Service Station, Alaknanda DDA Community Centre
🔹 Ugra Sain and Sons, Opp. Welcome Metro Station, Shahdara
🔹 Qutab Service Station, Mehrauli Road
🔹 Intimate Service Station, Panchsheel Park
🚗 Petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years are already banned from Delhi roads.
🚗 A special team will identify such vehicles at petrol pumps and deny them fuel.
✔ Petrol pumps are now connected to a central database.
✔ When a vehicle arrives for refueling, the system will check its PUC validity using its registration number.
✔ If the PUC certificate is expired, the system will alert the petrol pump staff, and fuel will not be provided.
✅ Reduces air pollution by ensuring only vehicles meeting emission norms get fuel.
✅ Encourages vehicle owners to keep their PUC certificates up to date.
