Early on Sunday morning, a vehicle crashed into a barrier on its way back from a wedding in Begusarai, Bihar, killing at least four people and injuring five more.

Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Subodh Kumar told ANI that the event happened on Sunday at about 3.40 am as the passengers in the vehicle were making their way back from the wedding.

The wounded have been admitted to the hospital and are receiving treatment, the official said.

According to the authorities, one of the wounded said that the driver was feeling sleepy when they left the wedding around two in the morning, which is why the tragedy happened.

“A few were on their way back from a wedding. Four persons lost their lives in the collision when the driver crashed the vehicle into the barrier. Five more persons have been hurt and are receiving medical attention.

According to one of the wounded, the driver may have been sleepy as they left the Baraat (wedding procession) at two in the morning, which is why the tragedy occurred. According to Kumar, the mishap occurred around 3.40 in the morning, ANI said.
