Desk: Preparations for entry in Tesla's Indian market have been completed. Alan Musk's company has done the work from making showrooms to the recruitment of staff. But whether the company will set up its plant in India or not, nothing is clear on it. Well, Tesla, whether in India or abroad, is going to benefit the Tata Group.
As such, Tesla's biggest rival in the electric vehicle market is going to be Tata Motors. Nevertheless, Tesla has a deal with other companies of Tata Group, which will benefit Tata. There are many companies of Tata Group that do not sell direct automobiles, but without them the automobile companies cannot work. In such a situation, Tesla has deals with companies like the group's Tata Autocomp, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Technologies and Tata Electronics.
These companies of Tata Group will be one of Tesla's global suppliers from now on. This means that Tesla's car is now built anywhere, in which parts will be installed by the companies of Tata Group. At the same time, in an ET news, it has been told as an attempt to prepare a supplier base in Tesla's India, which can later make the work of setting up the factory easier.
Even before Tesla's arrival in India, the Government of India has released a new EV policy. In this, the tax on importing EV from abroad has been reduced to 15 percent, which was 70 to 110 percent earlier. However, there is a condition with this that whoever does this will have to set up a plant in India within 3 years, as well as invest at least $ 500 million.
Although Alan Musk will set up his own plant in India, nothing can be said about it. Recently a report by Autocar India revealed that Allen Musk's company Tesla can manufacture its cars in India, as Apple does for its iPhone. At the same time, Donald Trump has also expressed his opposition to Allen Musk's talk of setting up a plant in India.
