Software major Infosys has announced a new hiring drive to recruit experienced technology professionals across 40+ skill sets. The company is seeking candidates with at least two years of experience in areas like cloud computing, cybersecurity, Java, Python, .NET, Android, iOS development, and automation testing.
This recruitment exercise follows a similar initiative in February and March last year, where Infosys conducted walk-in interviews at its development centers in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
According to internal communication, Infosys has provided candidates with the flexibility to choose their preferred interview location and work city if selected. This move is expected to attract top talent by offering convenience and alignment with personal preferences.
While Infosys has not disclosed the exact number of positions to be filled, sources suggest that the drive is part of the company’s annual lateral hiring programme. The initiative will also address workforce gaps caused by attrition and support new projects.
In addition to lateral hires, Infosys previously announced plans to onboard 20,000 freshers in the upcoming fiscal year. However, the company has not specified the proportion of freshers to lateral hires in its recruitment strategy.
Infosys recently extended 600 placement letters to engineering graduates from colleges in Karnataka’s Dharwad district, reinforcing its commitment to local hiring. The company is keen on ramping up operations at its Hubballi development center.
Furthermore, Infosys implemented a transfer policy last June, offering incentives to employees willing to relocate to Hubballi. This dual approach of hiring locally and encouraging internal transfers is aimed at enhancing its regional workforce presence.
With around 323,000 employees globally, Infosys’ hiring push highlights its intent to maintain growth momentum and strengthen its talent pool. As the company navigates dynamic industry demands, this latest recruitment drive is a significant step towards workforce optimization and project execution.
