Shadaab started his acting career in 1997 with the film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in which he played the lead role with Rani Mukherjee. However this film flopped at the box office. After this he worked in films like Betaabi (1997) Hey Ram (2000) Refugee (2000) and Bharat Bhagya Vidhata (2002) but all flopped at the box office. He worked in the industry for about 5 years and acted in a total of 6 films but never earned the recognition for which he had entered the industry following in his fathers footsteps. Shadaab married Malaika Saqlain in 2023 the daughter of former Pakistani cricketer and coach Saqlain Mushtaq. Shadaab and Malaika have a child. Shadaabs total net worth is around $1.5 million (about ₹12 crores). He earns from films brand endorsements and other ventures. Shadaab had revealed in an old interview that he did not want to debut with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. Shadaab Khan tried his hand at direction and writing after leaving the film industry.
