Sunrisers Hyderabad started the IPL 2025 season with a win by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 44 runs. In response, Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel played a good partnership, but could not lead the team to victory. Rajasthan team could only score 242 runs for six wickets in the stipulated overs and had to face defeat.

This is Rajasthan's highest score in IPL, despite this, the team could not achieve success. Rajasthan's previous highest score was 226 runs against Punjab Kings in Sharjah in 2020. They tried their best while chasing the huge target, but the challenge was so big that the team did not succeed in it. With the win over Rajasthan, the defending runner-up team has made a winning start to IPL 2025. A total 528 runs were scored in the match

A total of 528 runs were scored in this match between Hyderabad and Rajasthan. This is the second-highest aggregate in IPL history. Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) hold the record for the most runs scored in IPL in both innings combined. Rajasthan did not have a good start.

Chasing the target, Rajasthan did not have a good start and lost three wickets at a score of 50 runs. Simranjit Singh gave two blows to Rajasthan Royals in the same over.
