Reliance Jio has launched a new service which can challenge Google’s cloud storage dominance. The telecom company is now offering up to 50GB of free AI-powered cloud storage to its prepaid and postpaid customers. This service is available for users recharging with prepaid and postpaid plans starts from Rs 299 and above as well as all postpaid plans. Jios bold move can create major challenges for Google which currently provides free cloud storage via Gmail and Google Drive.
Mukesh Ambani’s Game-Changer Plan
Google’s cloud storage services including Google Drive allow users to save their data online. Gmail users receive between 5GB and 15GB of free cloud storage but additional storage requires a subscription fee. With Jio’s new offer users can access up to 50GB of cloud storage for free giving them an alternative to Google Drive.
Launch Of Jio AI Cloud Storage
Reliance Jio officially launched its AI-powered cloud storage service during its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM). However at that time selected users were given access to up to 100GB of free AI cloud storage. Now the service is available to all prepaid users with select plans and all postpaid customers wherein they can store photos videos documents and other digital content online.
Free AI Cloud For Prepaid Plans
For prepaid users the free 50GB AI cloud storage is included with Jio plans priced at Rs 299 and above. Users on lower-value plans do not have access to this feature so they need to recharge with at least Rs 299. This offer is similar to Jio’s plan with its free 5G services which require a minimum recharge of Rs 239 to activate.
Free AI Cloud For Postpaid Plans
All Jio postpaid plans now come with 50GB of free AI-powered cloud storage. These plans include options for Rs 349 Rs 449 Rs 649 Rs 749 and Rs 1549. Users subscribing to any of these plans can get cloud storage without any additional cost.
Jio’s move to offer free cloud storage can challenge Google and its associated services particularly Gmail and Google Drive. With a growing number of mobile users in India Jio’s affordable and user-friendly cloud storage solution will disrupt Google’s market and provide users a powerful alternative.
