Popular TV writer Manoj Santoshi known for the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai passed away at the age of 49. The writer was suffering from liver-related complications and took his last breath on March 23 2025. He was admitted to a hospital in Secunderabad. Santoshi was supposed to undergo a liver transplant. However due to complications he passed away. The news was confirmed by Shilpa Shinde. She remained with Santoshi throughout his liver cancer treatment. She also claimed that Manoj could not be saved due to the hospitals negligence and lack of cooperation. The actor stated that she would share more details about the matter in due time. For quite some time Santoshi had been battling between life and death due to his liver ailment. Earlier Kavita Kaushik had shared a post urging people to pray for Santoshi’s recovery. In her post she wrote You may know him as the writer of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai Happu Ki Ultan Paltan Jeeja Ji Chhat Par Hai Madam May I Come In the last few episodes of F.I.R. Office Office and various other comedies. She further added Today I ask you all to pray for Manoj Santoshi as he is in the hospital with a crumbling liver. Angels like @binaiferkohli and her entire team are fighting to save him. Please pray for this wonderful human. Big shoutout to the amazing @shilpa_shinde_official for taking care of him (sic). Apart from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai Santoshi also wrote TV shows like Happu Ki Ultan Paltan May I Come In Madam and Jeeja Ji Chhat Par Hai among others.
