Angry residents ran a sick out of their town after harrowing videos showed him removing deceased from his "house of horrors". Vile Steven Brown was captured on film violently assaulting at his home.
Concerned neighbours shared that appeared to show Brown handling various dogs that seemed either dead or close to death. A particularly grotesque clip displayed a German shepherd puppy being hauled down stairs into the boot of Brown's , shortly after locals reported hearing dogs "screaming" from fright and pain – the pup appeared lifeless.
Brown was found guilty in on two counts of severe cruelty towards animals, with evidence of his vile acts revealed through disturbing footage obtained by the Special Investigations Unit. The investigation unearthed an array of crude, blood-stained weapons allegedly used to mercilessly beat the dogs at his flat in Ashgill, Lanarkshire..
In June 2023, furious neighbours witnessed SSPCA and officers raid his property, retrieved a baseball bat, metal pipes smeared with dog's blood, and even found a canine tooth in the lavatory – while traces of dog blood stained the bath and grubby floor.
Neighbours, many of whom are dog owners and animal enthusiasts, clearly showed their disdain, leading to the man being escorted away in a police car amidst their jeers, reports .
Brown's ex-neighbour from above, John Greechan, revealed that he alerted the SSPCA after enduring "screaming" from canines one night in Brown's flat, which housed including pint-sized Chihuahuas, a French bulldog, and a German shepherd puppy.

Mr Greechan said: "I could hear banging in his flat and I could hear the dogs screaming - not barking, they were making a terrible, heart-rending screaming noise, like they were in a state of terror. To me it sounded like he was hitting them with something because there was banging accompanied by terrible sounds."
He described a chilling scene as the SSPCA exited the house. "When neighbours were watching the SSPCA coming out of the house we could see them carry a pole that clearly had red blood on it," he continued. "It was bent out of shape too, like it had hit something. That didn't look right and it infuriated people. We didn't want him on the street - it was him who was the animal."
John, who became Brown's neighbour in 2022, said: "It was hard to keep count of the dogs because sometimes there would be more than just his four Chihuahuas. From the comings and goings it was reckoned four dogs had died. One of the wee dogs had three legs and he said that it had fallen down the stairs. Who knows what happened to it? I've no idea if it's still alive."
He continued: "What I heard and what they caught him doing on video was just terrible. He should be in . Anyone watching the videos could see dogs that appeared to be lifeless."
Brown was hauled out of his flat in handcuffs after a police report in June 2023. The following day, Brown stunned locals by casually stepping out for a Chinese takeaway as if nothing had occurred.
Drew Sellars, 57, another neighbour, also alerted the SSPCA to Brown after hearing dogs "squealing and screaming". He continued: "I was playing the next morning and when I went to put my clubs in the car the night before I heard this blood curdling noise. It sounded like dogs were being battered.
"I could then hear some terrible squealing and screaming from dogs. It was terrible, awful. I phoned the SSPCA and they said they were already investigating him. The screams of the dogs will never leave me. The videos apparently made it clear that within 24 hours of that Brown had taken the big dog into the car and drove off with it. I couldn't watch it but everyone said it looked obviously dead."
Brown appeared at last November and admitted to harming a Chihuahua, now passed away, between April 4 and April 5 by dragging the small creature on its lead and not seeking when the dog was clearly very ill.
Brown also admitted harming another Chihuahua by kicking the pet as it entered his flat. However, the court dropped a charge against Brown concerning the alleged mistreatment of seven dogs - including a German shepherd, a French bulldog, and five Chihuahuas - which claimed he caused them fear and distress, leading to the mysterious deaths of four.
He was handed a community payback order to be executed over two years, a five-month curfew monitored electronically, and is banned from owning any animal or pet for the next five years.
