A woman fell victim to deception by a restaurant and bar proprietor who recorded her inappropriate footage during their relationship.

The accused exploited the compromising video to demand money.
 

He had already extorted Rs seven lakh from woman. When she requested him to marry her, he refused and threatened to ruin her prospects if she considered marrying another man. When the woman resisted, he attempted to strangle her.

The victim narrated her grievance to Commissioner of Police Akhil

Kumar. Subsequently, the Kakadeo police filed charges under relevant sections of the BNS, including extortion, assault, and criminal intimidation.
 

The teams are searching for the accused.

The complainant stated that she encountered the restaurant and bar owner in 2014, who resides in Swaroop Nagar. He trapped her with promises of marriage, created inappropriate footage after gaining her confidence, and then extorted seven lakh rupees from her.
 

The accused then began pressuring her for marriage while threatening to destroy her life if she wed another person. On March 12, he visited her father's workplace, assaulted both her father and brother, and threatened to circulate the inappropriate video.

The victim reported this to CP Akhil Kumar, who instructed the Kakadeo police station in-charge to investigate and register an FIR.

The station in-charge said that charges have been filed and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
