In response to directives from Divisional Commissioner Sangeeta Singh, the Deen Dayal Joint Hospital on Ramghat Road in Aligarh will soon have a QR code payment system at its counter. The goal of this project is to improve patient convenience. In order to guarantee that no patient is turned away, hospital administration has also been told to have enough change on hand at the registration desk.
Following concerns that people were being overcharged for prescription drugs, the decision was made. In response, Commissionerate staff members Upvan Jain and Pradeep Kumar, together with Additional Commissioner Administration Arun Kumar, carried out a private inquiry.
Both officials watched the procedure from a distance as their prescriptions were filled at the counter during the visit. They verified that there were no complaints of overcharging from other patients and that the hospital personnel simply charged the usual one rupee cost.
CMS Dr. MK Mathur was instructed by Additional Commissioner Arun Kumar to introduce the QR code system for easy one-rupee payments after the inspection. The institution has also been urged to have a sufficient amount of open cash on hand at the counter.
“Improving healthcare facilities is a priority for the government. The Divisional Commissioner, Sangeeta Singh, said that any anomalies in hospital administration would not be accepted.
