As a Zaid crop, maize will be grown on 1,150 hectares this season. To incentivize farmers, hybrid seeds will be offered at a 50% subsidy. Additionally, 400 farmers will benefit from 160 hectares of demonstration farming. Maize doubles the advantages for farmers by requiring less investment and producing more, according to agricultural specialists.

African Tall Maize is a great feed crop for livestock ranchers, according to the Agriculture Department. Additionally, because of its growing market need, planting HM-4 baby corn is a profitable choice. Along with foods like pakoras, koftas, tikkis, barfis, laddus, and kheer, baby corn is often used in salads, soups, vegetables, pickles, and sweets.

According to Deputy Director of Agriculture Arvind Mohan Mishra, baby corn is not only tasty but also high in minerals, especially phosphorus, which is necessary for healthy bones and general development. Farmers hope to directly profit from the growing demand for it in hotels and urban markets.

The Agriculture Department is aggressively encouraging maize planting to assist farmers maximize income. The government has made arrangements for fertilizer, seeds, and technical support. In order to guarantee that farmers get timely advice and resources, training camps and demonstration programs are also being held.
