Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer made a brilliant debut with the new franchise. Iyer scored an unbeaten 97 against Gujarat Titans. Iyer hit a total of 9 sixes and 5 fours in his innings but could not score a century. In the last over, he had to score only 3 runs to score a century but all 6 balls were played by Shashank Singh. Shashank Singh scored 23 runs in this over of Siraj. Let me tell you that this is the second time when Iyer returned to an unbeaten pavilion as a captain as a captain. In 2018, Iyer was unbeaten on 93 against KKR. As captain, Virat Kohli has been unbeaten in nineties three times.
