Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun has created a new record in Indian cinema by emerging as the highest-paid actor in the industry. The star of Pushpa has allegedly signed a historic deal of ₹175 crore (around $16.5 million) for his upcoming film, tentatively named A6, which is being directed by renowned director Atlee.

This classic deal not only ensures Arjun’s position atop India’s highest-paid earners in cinema but also comes with a profit-sharing arrangement, which pushes his overall earnings from the venture even higher. The movie, being produced by Sun Pictures, is set to be an expensive extravaganza, with some serious action sequences and top-notch VFX.

Allu Arjun’s whirlwind growth in the business, fueled by the huge box office success of Pushpa: The Rise, has cemented his pan-India status. With Pushpa 2: The Rule imminent and this latest partnership with Atlee, he is set to sweep the box office again.

The production of the film will start later this year, with an announcement imminent. Arjun’s record-breaking contract is a reflection of the increasing power of local cinema, demonstrating that South Indian movies are now commanding worldwide attention and creating new industry benchmarks.
