In a shocking incident that has taken place in Pune district, 10 to 12 newborns were stuffed in plastic containers and thrown in the garbage in Daund city, causing a stir in the area on Tuesday.

The possibility of an illegal abortion center operating in the Daund city area is being speculated by the police.

There has been a commotion in Daund city due to the discovery of the infants. The police are currently searching for more information. The incident came to light when newborn infants were found in the Boravke Nagar area of Daund city. As soon as the information about this incident was received, the Daund police immediately visited the scene.

Meanwhile, Baramati MP Supriya Sule took to X and said, "The incident of throwing infants in the garbage in the Boravke Nagar area near Daund city has come to light. This is a very heinous act, and it is necessary to immediately investigate the matter and take strict action against those responsible. It is requested that the District Collector of Pune take personal notice of this matter and ensure action is taken."

It was discovered that all the infants were locked in plastic containers. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bapurao Dadas, Assistant Police Inspector Nagnath Patil, Police Sub-Inspector Yuvraj Ghodke, and other staff visited the scene and gathered information about the incident. Doctors from the sub-district hospital were immediately called to the spot. The police are continuing their investigation.
