star seemed less than thrilled in Tuesday's episode. As proceedings unfolded, viewers were introduced to the quartet comprising Sam, Pauline, Rachel, and Mark.
Sam, at 29, was the first contestant up and secured £3,000 after answering three questions correctly in his cashbuilder round. Despite this, he chose to accept chaser Paul Sinha's lower offer of just £1,000.
Despite bringing the money back to the team, it appeared Sam's decision - followed by Pauline accepting the same low offer despite accumulating more - didn't quite sit right with either Bradley or The Sinnerman.
Returning to her teammates with a mere £1,000, Bradley couldn't resist a cheeky remark. He said: "Absolutely setting the world alight with two players and two grand. Wow. We're galloping into Pointless territory."
Turning to Paul Sinha, he said: "I don't think you're in much danger at the moment." To which Paul replied: "We will just have to wait and see."
Still, there were two contestants left to potentially fatten the prize pot. With Rachel stepping up to face the formidable quiz ace, Bradley feared another low offer might be on the cards, reports
He humorously threatened an early wrap-up, asserting: "If she comes on and takes away, we will head straight to the news."
Rachel gave it a good effort, but she was eventually caught at the table, passing the baton to Mark to try and increase their modest £2,000 jackpot.
Choosing to gamble for a higher prize, Mark took on the sizable offer of £58,000 but similarly faced elimination.
This meant it was only Sam and Pauline left to take on the final chase with a combined sum of £2,000. Bradley couldn't hide his surprise, commenting: "Pauline and Sam, inexplicably, have made it through to the final. We're playing for £2,000. Wow, I hear you say. They might get away with it, who knows."
Chaser Paul, not missing a beat, shot back: "Statistically, they've got no chance! But, I'll tell you what worries me, they're quick, so I think they're going to do better than the bare statistics show."
Given a two-step head start in the final, the duo amassed 15 correct answers, resulting in a final tally of 17 points for Paul Sinha to surpass.
In an exciting culmination, Sam and Pauline outpaced Paul and each secured a neat £1,000 for their efforts.
The Chase continues weekdays on ITV from 5pm.
