has piled more praise on after his statement run to the third round of the Miami Open. The Brazilian teenager has taken the tennis world by storm this season and picked up his maiden ATP Tour title in Argentina, leading to plenty of recognition already from the 24-time Major winner.

However, Djokovic is also concerned that two other players have been "forgotten about" in the midst of the Fonseca hype, and he's excited about the rest of the up-and-coming generation.

Fonseca enjoyed another big week in Miami, beating fellow teen star Learner Tien and upsetting 19th seed Ugo Humbert before

The 18-year-old has been going from strength to strength this season. He started the year by winning the Canberra Challenger, then qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at the Australian Open and took out ninth seed Andrey Rublev.

Fonseca picked up his first tour-level title in Buenos Aires in February and was crowned the Phoenix Challenger champion earlier this month. After continuing his heroics in Miami, he earned some glowing praise from Djokovic.

"He's been [the] talk of the tour in the last several months. I mean, deservedly so," Djokovic said after reaching the last 16.

"He's a very good tennis player. I mean, so young. Just incredible firepower from both ends of the baseline, serve [as well]. He's a very complete player.

"Of course, what is impressive is the way he strikes the ball, but even more so is how he handles the nerves on the court for someone that doesn't have experience at all playing at the highest level."

However, Djokovic believes two other rising stars deserve the same praise - Jakub Mensik and Learner Tien.

He continued: "He's a very exciting player to watch, but he's not the only one. You have Mensik. Maybe because people talk about Fonseca so much, they forgot about Mensik. Tien, as well.

"All those players are very young, but they have as good of rankings as he does. They're as good as him.

"I think it's exciting, I don't know what I should call it - that generation, the new generation is bringing. It's always great that you have exciting players to watch and see the players that have potential to reach the greatest heights and to carry this sport."

Tien has also enjoyed an impressive rise this year. He qualified for the Australian Open and upset No. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev. Last month, he reached the Mexican Open quarter-final.

And Mensik is already through to the Miami Open quarter-final after taking out Indian Wells champion Jack Draper. The Czech teenager now has six wins over top-10 opponents in his young career.
