Jimmy Carr delivered a blunt remark concerning Peter Kay's recent confrontation with disruptive hecklers during his stint on The One Show on Tuesday (March 25).

Appearing on tonight's episode of the popular BBC show, the comedian chatted with presenters Alex Jones and Vernon Kay about his brand-new comedy venture, Last One Laughing.

Vernon then steered the conversation towards Jimmy's imminent arena tour, Laughs Funny, which kicks off next month.

"You're busy on tour, Jimmy," Vernon began, with Jimmy replying: "I'm always on tour, constantly. Playing the arenas just to big up my ego at the end of the year."

Discussions then veered towards heckling incidents, referencing Peter Kay's incident in which he ejected two disruptors from his live show at the AO Arena in Manchester last month.

The interruption unfolded during his Better Late Than Never (Again) tour when one audience member incessantly shouted "garlic bread" - an iconic phrase from Peter's repertoire. Meanwhile, another fan expressed her "love" for the comic, prompting more disturbances.

Unamused by their antics, Peter appealed to the audience to gauge if they were becoming frustrated. Met with a collective disdain, security was swift to escort the noisy individuals out, reports .

Peter has now vowed to boot out more rowdy spectators from his performance at London's O2 Arena last week, after noticing that some disruptive audience members seated in a box were distracting the crowds around them.

During the interview on tonight's The One Show, Vernon highlighted to Jimmy: "I'm loving the fact that your heckles have gone viral on your socials. You put out the heckles and you do put out the interaction with the audience."

Jimmy quipped back, eliciting chuckles from the presenters: "I quite like that. I like it when people join in. Sometimes it gets out of hand and we have to kick people out of the show, but I'm not like Peter Kay, I don't care."

He continued: "I don't care, we've got great security. I'm all mouth."

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One
