has proudly flashed her dazzling engagement ring, weeks after reports surfaced that she was secretly engaged to her partner, Anthony Huggins. The This Country actress, 38, was spotted in New York, strolling hand-in-hand with the father of her youngest son as they headed to the cinema. Speculation about the couple's engagement began when Daisy referred to Anthony as her "fiancé" for the first time while promoting her BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? on Instagram Stories.
In a playful clip, she joked that her "fit fiancé and baby daddy" would be making an appearance on screen. The couple met on the dating app Hinge in December 2021 and welcomed their son, Benji, in June last year. Sharing the news of his early arrival on Instagram, Daisy humorously recalled: "You came a bit earlier than expected and gave me the worst post-op constipation-I nearly had to phone the Samaritans! But my god, you are perfect." She also expressed gratitude to the hospital staff, praising their exceptional care during a "scary time."
Last month, reports confirmed that Daisy and Anthony were "over the moon" following a secret proposal. A source told The Sun: "Daisy and Anthony are madly in love with each other and are a success story for dating apps. Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and already have a baby boy together."
Daisy and Anthony got together after she split from ex-husband Will Weston, in July 2021, just months before meeting her new love. The former couple share children Pip, five, and Jack, three. Daisy and Will got married on 21 September 2019 but just two years later, the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic saw them struggle to make the relationship work.
Daisy told The Times: "Will is amazing, an incredible, incredible dad - but fundamentally, there wasn't real love there, I don't think there ever was, really." Daisy's new ring was seen sitting above a tattoo tribute to her ex-boyfriend, chef Ryan Weymouth. The couple had a whirlwind relationship that saw them moving in together and Daisy getting an inking on her ring finger, however, after two months they had split. She has appeared to have since covered the ink, which read 'Ryan', with another tattoo.
