Do you recognise the hero in this photo? This picture has gone viral on social media and is from the younger days of a veteran actor. Taken in the 90s it shows an actor who recently shared a video revealing that he was labeled a flop hero after just his second film. Interestingly his first film was a hit leading him to sign 10-15 films back-to-back. However after his second movie failed only 3-4 of those films were released and all of them flopped.
If youre a Bollywood fan and know your movies well you might have already guessed who this is. At first glance many mistook him for Kumar Gaurav or Akshay Kumar. However he is neither. This actor worked with Akshay Kumar in 1994 and with Kumar Gaurav in 2000.
Still haven’t figured it out? Here’s another hint though he didn’t find much success in films he ruled television in the 90s. He portrayed Bhishma in BR Chopra’s Mahabharata and later became a household name as the lead in Shaktimaan a show produced under his own banner. Yes we’re talking about Mukesh Khanna.
This is a picture of Khanna from his early days. In a recent video he recalled facing a rough patch between 1984 and 1986. During this time he had signed 15 films but only 3-4 made it to theaters and they all flopped. Many of his other projects were either shelved or never released.
Mukesh Khanna further shared At the start of my career when 4-5 of my films flopped I was labeled a flop actor. People said movies were failing because of me. Producers who once saw potential in me were now hesitant. After my first hit I was offered lead roles in 10-15 films but in this industry the market decides an artist’s fate.
He added If your work isn’t great but the film is a hit you still get more opportunities. But if you perform well and the film flops your value in the market drops instantly.
