Strict guidelines for banks
In this regard, NPCI has clarified that all banks and UPI apps will have to wait by 31 March 2025 to follow these new rules. After this, from 1 April 2025, all service providers will have to send a report to NPCI once a month to see if they are managing UPI ID properly. According to the rules of the Indian Department of Telecommunications, if a mobile number is not used for 90 days, it can be allocated to the new customer. This is called mobile recycling. When the old number is given to the new user. Then there may be some errors in UPI accounts and transactions.
