Chaturmas fasting:
PM Modi said that he follows the ancient Indian tradition of Chaturmas, which lasts from mid -June to Diwali. During this time:
They eat only once in 24 hours.
Digestion slows down in monsoon, so this type of fasting is beneficial for the body.

Navratri fast:

  • For nine days of Navratri, PM Modi completely avoids food and drinks only hot water.

  • During the Chaitra Navratri coming in March-April, they eat only one type of fruit once a day.

  • If they choose papaya, then only papaya eats for nine days.
