Nitish Rana faces BACKLASH over ‘loyalty’ remark on KKR as Venky Mysore’s response goes viral

New Delhi: Nitish Ranas match against his former team the Kolkata Knight Riders during IPL 2025 in Guwahati presented an opportunity for him to demonstrate the error of their decision not to retain him. However his early dismissal for eight runs prompted a social media backlash from fans referencing his past comments about loyalty.
After seven seasons with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) including a captaincy stint in 2023 Nitish Rana was released by the franchise before the IPL mega auction. This decision upset Rana and his family leading his wife to subtly criticize KKR on social media for a perceived lack of loyalty. Rana subsequently posted an Instagram story featuring himself in a pink shirt a seemingly pointed response.

Following Moeen Alis dismissal of Rana for a low score of eight runs from nine balls on Wednesday social media users reacted to Ranas earlier comments about loyalty by mocking him. KKR CEO Venky Mysores amused reaction a smiling clap from the stands also gained significant online attention.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Moeen Ali bowled exceptionally well restricting Rajasthan Royals to a low score of 151/9. Their combined spin attack necessitated by Sunil Narines absence proved decisive on a challenging pitch.
