“I hereby give notice of my intention to seek leave to move a motion for the adjournment of the business of the House to discuss a matter of urgent public importance, namely, that this House suspend Zero Hour and the relevant rules pertaining to Question Hour and other scheduled business of the day to deliberate upon the alleged aberrations in the higher judiciary,” Tewari stated.

Tewari underlined how critical it is to solve the issue of national importance. He emphasized that India’s democracy is supported by four pillars: the executive branch, the legislature, the judiciary, and a free press.

The legal community and ordinary individuals across have been unsettled by the recent allegations of purported irregularities in the court. As the highest legislative body that oversees the government and even an independent judiciary, Parliament must step up to the plate,” Tewari said in his motion.

Since the occurrences have sparked questions about the justice, impartiality, and integrity of the legal system, the Congress MP urged the administration to make a thorough response on the House floor.

“Considering the gravity of the situation, I urge the administration to make a thorough explanation about these instances on the House floor. Because it directly affects the justice, impartiality, and integrity of our legal system, this issue is significant on a national level. “I would like to bring up this issue with the Chair’s permission,” he stated. The second round of Parliament’s budget session started on March 10 and will last until April 4.
