Update on the Murder Case in Meerut: The two suspects, Sahil and Muskan, are still being held in Chaudhary Charan Singh Jail in connection with the ongoing investigation into Saurabh’s murder.
Until Sahil’s grandma, Pushpa Devi, came to see him on Wednesday, neither of them had any visitors for six days. Following her visit, she said, “Whatever was done was done by Muskan,” denying Sahil any involvement in the crime. She did admit, however, that Sahil made a grave error of judgment.
Pushpa, who has been living with Sahil in their ancestral house since the loss of her daughter seventeen years ago, said she was perplexed by what transpired before Saurabh was killed. Referring to Sahil’s chamber, she said, “I do not know what went on upstairs,” but she maintained that he did not use black magic and instead had confidence in Bhole Baba, whose image was displayed around their house.
Pushpa said she had never seen Muskan in prison and didn’t see the need to do so at this time when questioned about her. Although she acknowledged that she was confused by the causes of the violence, she denounced it as unjustified. She vehemently denied any involvement in black magic by her late relatives.
When asked about the possible outcomes for Sahil and Muskan, Pushpa said that the court and legal experts should determine their destiny since she felt unprepared to make legal comments. She brought snacks, clothes for Sahil, and food items like bananas while she was there.

Since they have only been in detention for a brief time, Sahil and Muskan are not yet allocated any labor responsibilities. Viresh Raj Sharma, the senior prison superintendent, indicated that job assignments would be taken into consideration after the reassignment of their barracks.
