New Delhi . The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has made new rules to secure and improve UPI transactions, which will be applicable from 1 April 2025. These changes have been made to make UPI more secure and to prevent wrong transactions. From April 1, 2025, such Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe and bank accounts are going to be closed, linked mobile numbers are inactive. At the same time, India is going to launch its upgrade version of Interface for Money i.e. Bhima App in April. You will get the benefit of five new features with Bhima 3.0.

1. Check of mobile number
Banks and apps like Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe will now have to update “MNRL/DIP) every week. This will reduce the mistakes to the numbers given to the old or someone else.

– If a mobile number is not used for 3 months (call, message or data does not run), then telecom companies give it to someone else. UPI IDs to such numbers will be closed.

– Users will be required to keep the registered mobile number active in their bank.
2. Ban on 'Collecting Payment “: Collect payment (sending request seeking money) on UPI will now be only for big and verified traders. The collect payment limit among the common people has been made Rs 2,000 per transaction. This step is taken to reduce fraud.

Keep these things in mind
– If your mobile number has changed or has not been used for a long time, then quickly update to bank and UPI apps.

– You will not be able to use the collect request to pay more than Rs 2,000. Pay directly or pay the merchant instead.

New facilities will be connected in Bhima app from April
India is going to launch its upgrade version of interface for money i.e. Bhima app in April. You will get the benefit of five new features with Bhima 3.0. NPCI Bhim Services, full control of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), has launched a new upgrade of Bhim UPI on Magalwar.

Bhima 3.0 will be available in more than 15 languages ​​of the country. It is worth noting that the Bhima app is working on 22.6 crore Android phones and 88 lakh iOS platforms. The number of UPI users in the country at this time is about 30-40 crores.

The third edition of the Bhima app has features such as family mode, ability to work in areas with weak internet and more spontaneous user interfaces (UI) to manage payment. This application will give users a new experience.

Not only this, with Bhima 3.0 you can also monitor your monthly expenses by going to the dashboard, which will make it easier to find out where, how much you are spending. This app will divide all the expenses made by you into different categories.

Bhima Vega has been launched for traders along with Bhima 3.0. With this help, traders will be able to pay while staying in the app and they will not have to go to any other app. According to NPCI, all these changes made in Bhima will be gradually brought to all platforms.

The company has also introduced the 'Bhima Vishwas' scheme. The idea is currently underway to start it. Bhima has partnered with Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Karnataka Bank and Union Bank for his future plan.

You will also be able to add family members
Along with Bhima 3.0, users will also be able to add family members to their UPI account and will also be able to monitor the expenses of all people. Apart from this, all family members will also be able to entrust the responsibility of any special payment. With Bhima's new upgrade, you can monitor the UPI transactions of the entire family. The upgrade app will give you advance information about the payment of all the outstanding bills of the near future, so that no payment of any kind of bill is delayed. Apart from this, it will provide you information even if the amount in UPI light is reduced.
