As the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) approaches its centennial year, it plans to commemorate its 100th anniversary with new objectives and commitments. The Sangh has organized a number of events and activities to mark the milestone, starting on its Foundation Day, Vijayadashami.
Wearing complete uniforms, RSS volunteers will plan activities at the block level in the province of Varanasi. Production of 1.25 lakh uniforms has already started this month in order to assist this. At a news conference held on Wednesday at the Vishwa Samvad Kendra in Varanasi, area incharge Dr. Virendra Jaiswal disclosed this information.
Dr. Jaiswal said that a large-scale Grih Sampark Abhiyan would be carried out by RSS volunteers from November 5 to November 30, visiting homes and giving books and other materials. Hindu conferences will also be held locally in different mandals and colonies; they are expected to be finished by February.
Meetings for social peace at the municipal and block levels will also be part of the project, which aims to improve ties within society. Special youth-focused initiatives will be carried out by the provincial units, and discussions with distinguished individuals will take place at the district level.
Dr. Jaiswal brought attention to the horrors committed against Hindus in Bangladesh that were brought up during the All India Representative Assembly conference in Bengaluru. While India’s federal government was requested to take diplomatic steps to protect their safety, the country’s interim administration was urged to act immediately. Hindus throughout were also urged by the parliament to show support for their Bangladeshi colleagues.
According to Dr. Murarji Tripathi, the provincial publicity chief, the RSS has grown significantly in Varanasi province in the last 12 months. With significant gains in student joint branches, college branches, young entrepreneur branches, adult branches, businessman branches, and kid branches, the number of branches has increased from 2,713 to 2,851. In keeping with the Sangh’s increasing social impact, Saptahik Milan and Sangh Mandali have also grown.
