Justice Yashwant Verma, who came into the discussion with the cash scandal, can face a three -member committee of the High Court judges constituted by the Supreme Court on Friday. Sources say that Justice Verma can present four grounds in his defense in the cash case. He can say that he was not present on the day of the incident. He had gone to Madhya Pradesh and returned and came on the evening of 15 March.

Justice Verma can also say in his defense that no such information was received from the staff on returning in the video. Also, the staff present at the time of the incident did not see anything like this. He came to know about this when this information was given by the Delhi High Court.

Demand to withdraw the recommendation of the collegium

Earlier, the bodies of Allahabad, Gujarat, Kerala, Jabalpur, Karnataka and Lucknow High Court submitted a memorandum to the CJI seeking time to discuss the issue.

Bar bodies also raised a case of alleged molestation in evidence at the official residence of Justice Verma. On March 14, during the fire incident at his residence, allegedly burnt cash bundles were found, which he demanded an inquiry. Also raised questions on not registering an FIR in this case.
