Bollywood superstar Salman Khan currently busy promoting his upcoming film Sikandar has addressed the ongoing discussions about the significant age gap between him and his co-actresses.

In a recent interview with Indian media Salman shared his perspective on working with younger actresses like Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor.

He expressed that whenever he collaborates with younger talents people tend to focus on the age difference rather than the opportunities he is providing them.

Giving young actresses a platform

Clarifying his stance Salman stated “My goal is to provide young actresses with a strong platform and career opportunities. However people always bring up the age gap. Regardless I will continue to support new talent in the industry”

He further emphasized that he sees it as a way to nurture fresh talent and help them establish themselves in Bollywood rather than something to be criticized.

Changing dynamics in bollywood

Salman also pointed out how the current generation of actors seems increasingly insecure and hesitant to work together.

He revealed that he once suggested a filmmaker create a multi starrer film featuring various actors but most of them declined preferring to work solo.

“In the past actors were comfortable doing multi-starrer films because they trusted their fans would come together to make the film a success”

He explained “There was a strong sense of camaraderie. Today however actors are less confident in sharing screen space”

Salman’s take on his age gap with Rashmika Mandanna

Addressing the recent discussion about the age difference between him and Sikandar’s lead actress Rashmika Mandanna, Salman had a straightforward response.

“If neither the actress nor her family has an issue why should others be concerned about our age gap” he remarked.

With Sikandar set to hit the screens Salman remains firm in his belief that supporting emerging talent is more important than public perception.
