Every rupee spent on tickets earns the passenger one loyalty point, which gets stored in their account. Over time, these points accumulate and can be used for future journeys. This means frequent travelers can save money while commuting by simply continuing their regular travel routines.
Passengers earn loyalty points every time they use a QR ticket or the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) to travel on the Namo Bharat Train. Here’s how the process works:
For every ₹1 spent on tickets, 1 loyalty point is credited to the traveler’s account.
These points are automatically stored in the NCMC account or linked digital wallet.
The accumulated points can then be redeemed for free rides once a sufficient balance is reached.
For example, if a passenger spends ₹100 on tickets, they will receive 100 loyalty points. These points are credited the following day and can be used once they reach a redeemable limit.
Once a traveler has accumulated enough points, they can redeem them for up to five free rides. However, these free rides must be utilized within seven days of redemption.
To give you an idea of the value of these points, each point is worth 10 paise. So, if a passenger has 300 points, that equates to ₹30, which can be used towards ticket costs.
