Updated Points Table for IPL 2025 Following SRH vs. LSG: In their IPL 2025 match on Thursday, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a decisive five wickets, aided by an outstanding four-wicket haul from Shardul Thakur and a spectacular knock from Nicholas Pooran.
Despite SRH’s strong batting order, Thakur, who is still in excellent form, gave a critical spell of 4/34, limiting them to 190/9. Pooran’s incredible 70 off only 26 balls, which included six boundaries and as many sixes, fueled LSG’s chase in return.
Together with Mitchell Marsh, who put up a strong 52 off 31 deliveries, the West Indian power batter created a match-winning 116-run partnership. Early in the innings, LSG lost Aiden Markram, but Pooran and Marsh gained control and sent the SRH bowlers all over the field.
Pooran, in particular, demonstrated his easy ability to locate the boundary by hitting a number of enormous sixes, particularly against Simarjeet and Abhishek Sharma. LSG managed to chase down the mark in only 16.1 overs due to his aggressive strokeplay.
LSG moved up to second position in the standings with this win, while SRH dropped to sixth.
